safety relief valves to successfully protect
process plant and equipment from the potentially
disastrous effects of exceeding a design
pressure limit.
Birkett spring
loaded safety relief valves (
SRV ) and thermal relief valves ( TRV
), are manufactured to API RP520, ASME
8 and ISO 9001.
This range of Safety valves ( SRV ) are
certified to many major internation codes,
including PED, ATEX, ASME VIII, China
SQL and GOST-R.
They offer pressure protection of pressure
vessels in accordance with the ASME VIII
unfired pressure vessel code. In addition
to pressure vessel protection, Birkett
relief valves ( RV ) provide pump protection,
steam relief ( SRV ) and thermal relief
( TRV ) on any pressurised process plant
or pipeline.
Birkett pilot
operated loaded safety relief valves
( POSRV ) are manufactured to API RP520,
ASME 8 and ISO 9001.
Birkett Pilot operated safety relief valves
( POSRV ) are uniquely of a full nozzle
design. They allow plant designers to
operate their pressure vessels and plant
at pressures closer to the design pressure
than the conventional safety relief valve
( SRV ). Additionally they also allow
for high pressures, higher inlet pressure
drops and larger flows.
This range of pilot operated safety valves
( POSRV ) are certificed to many major
international codes, including PED, ATEX,
ASME VIII, China SQL and GOST-R.
They offer pressure protection of pressure
vessels in accordance with the ASME VIII
unfired pressure vessels code.
Exotic Materials.
All Birkett safety valves ( SRV, POSRV,
RV, TRV ) are available in a wide range
of materials from standard carbon and
stainless steels, through high and low
temperature steels to almost any special
exotic alloy. The specialist area of exotic

series safety relief valves ( SRV ).
The WB range are spring operated, full
nozzle, full lift safety relief valves
( SRV ), are available in conventional
and bellows styles, with vapour and liquid
trims. With additional accessories / variations
such as test gags, open and packed levers,
soft seals, they help the plant design
conform to almost all code requirements.
Birkett "Safeflo"
series safety relief valves ( SRV, TRV
). The "Safeflo" range
are spring operated, full nozzle, full
lift conventional safety relief valves
( SRV, TRV ), are available with vapour
and liquid trims. With additional accessories
/ variations such as test gags, levers,
balanced piston, they help the plant designer
conform to almost all code requirements.
Birkett "Safeset"
series safety relief valves ( POSRV ).
The "Safeset" range are pilot
operated, full nozzle, safety relief valves
( POSRV ), are available in Pop and Modulating
styles, with vapour and liquid trims.
They are supplied as standard with soft
seats for maximum sealing. With additional
accessories / variations such as heating
and cooling coils, black flow preventors,
field test connectors, external filters,
differential pressure switches, they help
the plant designer to meet the extremes
of process control.
